Intelliden Joins SMARTS Technology Alliance Program (TAP); Companies Announce Comprehensive Product Integration
Integrated Solution Dramatically Improves Efficiency, Control over IP-based Networks Fully Automating End-to-End Service, Change and Configuration Management
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. and WHITE PLAINS, NY, JULY 12, 2004-Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced it is the newest member of the SMARTS® Technology Alliance Program (TAP), and that the Intelliden R-Series™ software suite has achieved InCharge™ certification. TAP, set to be officially launched this Fall, consists of a select group of partners working jointly with the SMARTS development team to deliver tightly integrated, bi-directional adapters for InCharge - further extending the solution's ability to solve the most complex problems in IT management.
SMARTS and Intelliden customers can now experience enhanced efficiency and control over their IP networks by leveraging this fully automated, end-to-end service, change and configuration management solution. The joint functionality enables seamless identification, analysis and resolution of any system or networking issue that threatens the availability, security, provisioning or compliancy of business-critical network devices.
"Today's leading companies realize that the network has become the business," said Rich Ptak of Ptak, Noel & Associates. "For this reason, integrated management of business-critical initiatives must be tied to the IT infrastructure. By integrating R-Series with InCharge, Intelliden and SMARTS are taking a major step towards achieving this goal. The joint solution enables customers to experience superior business service assurance by automating the most complex tasks in IT network management: compliance, configuration, provisioning, security, and problem resolution through true root cause analysis."
SMARTS customers can now access Intelliden's granular control over IP network devices from either product console. The integration enables direct access into the Intelliden R-Series platform for highly detailed control, change management and analysis capabilities driven by the organization's business policies. With Intelliden, SMARTS customers have point-and-click ability to bring devices back online quickly and to restore the network to its last working state-without ever leaving the InCharge console. Through the InCharge map topology browser or notification console, customers can view recent configurations made, conduct real-time interrogation of the network resource, perform intelligent rollback and import and manage new resources.
"Our integration with SMARTS gives customers improved quality of service, faster implementation of new applications and services, reduced operational costs, and reduced reliance on IT expertise," said Chris Turner, Intelliden vice president of sales. "Both the Intelliden R-Series and InCharge software align the network and IT resources with business processes and priorities. For network operators today, integrating foundation systems into one cohesive business platform is crucial to longevity. We look forward to bringing the benefits of our SMARTS InCharge integration to customers everywhere."
Intelliden customers can now leverage the market-leading abstraction, analysis and automation capabilities of InCharge for effectively managing their complex and distributed IT infrastructures. InCharge's common information model and intelligent event correlation engine reveal interactions between the network, system, and application elements and the services and customers they support. The solution proactively recognizes underlying service-affecting problems and immediately calculates their impact on the business, allowing problem resolution to be prioritized based on service impact.
"IP networks are the engines that drive today's leading enterprises, service providers and government organizations," said SMARTS Chief Operating Officer Roger Pilc. "Since the network is this critical to business success, customers must have the right solutions in place to quickly identify and resolve root-cause problems anywhere in the infrastructure - before critical services are affected. By combining the strengths of two market leaders with complimentary solutions, our customers can find and resolve any IP network issue, anywhere in the IT environment."
