Intelliden R-Series Solution Achieves HP OpenView Certification
--Integration Addresses Service Management, Configuration Management and Fault Management Business Challenges--
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 24, 2004-Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced that Intelliden R-Series™ software suite has achieved the status of an HP OpenView Certified Application with its integration to HP OpenView Network Node Manager. This integration closes the loop between fault monitoring and configuration correction by offering integrated fault diagnosis and device restoration. HP OpenView customers can easily deploy Intelliden software solutions within their service provider, managed services provider, enterprise and government environments to increase network control, automate service management, improve network security, define business policy and increase optimization across their IP infrastructures.
"This is a great day for enterprises everywhere," said Rich Ptak partner at Ptak, Noel & Associates. "HP customers can now perform automated, end-to-end service and configuration management of routers, switches, optics and firewalls. Upon detecting a router, switch, optical or firewall problem, the Intelliden R-series allows the customer to automatically analyze and return devices online."
The Intelliden R-Series integration with HP OpenView provides seamless identification, analysis and resolution of systems and networking issues that threaten the availability, security, provisioning and compliancy of business-critical network devices. The Intelliden R-Series software suite ensures business continuity via granular control of IP network devices. It notifies users, groups and other applications about device and network changes, while identifying who did what to the network-where, when and why. Intelliden's software can also intelligently and automatically roll back a network device to the best previously known network state.
The Intelliden R-Series software improves the efficiency and control of IP networks by enabling customers to automate end-to-end service management, change management and configuration management of network devices.
From the HP OpenView console, the customer can:
Access the last 5 change operations, successes or failures, on a suspect device
Restore network devices to the last known good running configuration
Document device configurations when HP OpenView software discovers new devices
Recover devices configuration changes quickly and accurately
Launch a full-scale configuration management application to fully manage their entire IP network
HP OpenView allows customers to detect network device problems; now with the Intelliden R-Series customers can also instantly view the device configuration, diagnose the problem, run detailed reports and quickly bring the device back online with minimal manual intervention-without ever leaving the HP OpenView console.
"Intelliden's integration with HP OpenView allows customers to securely accelerate their operational efficiency, improve service management, increase resource availability and lower networking costs. Intelliden's open-product architecture can expose policy-based networking features to customers through our HP OpenView API interface.
This is not just a simple re-direct," said Chris Turner, Intelliden vice president sales and support. "This is an important integration achievement for businesses and government organizations managing dynamic, adaptive IP infrastructures. Customers can now leverage HP OpenView to reduce the Mean Time To Recovery (MTTR) via Intelliden's policy-based networking software. Customer response has been very positive to this integration of functionality. We look forward to bringing the benefits of our HP OpenView integration to customers everywhere."
"The combination of Intelliden's standards-based R-Series solution with HP OpenView fits with HP's strategy to help enterprises become more adaptive by linking their business priorities to IT resource operations," said Todd DeLaughter, vice president and general manager, Management Software Organization, HP. "This integrated solution enables enterprises to automatically deploy intelligent networking solutions that reduce their costs, secure their network and accelerate their service provisioning while maximizing overall infrastructure investment."
