Intelliden to Present and Exhibit as Gold-Level Sponsor At IBM developerWorks Live! Technical Conference

--Chief Strategy Officer John Strassner to Present on Break-Through Paradigm, DEN-ng--

NEW ORLEANS, Apirl 9, 2003 - Intelliden Corporation, a leading provider of business-driven device management software, today announced that it is sponsoring the IBM developerWorks Live! technical conference, taking place April 9 - 12, 2003 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., as a gold-level member. The company’s chief strategy officer and inventor of Directory Enabled Networks (DEN), John Strassner, is also scheduled to present at the conference.

The company can be found at booth 200G on the exhibition floor of IBM developerWorks Live!, which showcases a broad range of new resources, tools, programs and support to software developers in the industry and serves as a platform for industry news, including autonomic and on demand computing.

Intelliden’s Strassner is the inventor of DEN and DEN-ng (Directory Enabled Networks—new generation), a proven model for managing and provisioning networks and networked applications. He is a former Cisco Systems fellow who was instrumental in setting the direction for directory and policy-enabled products and technologies for the industry. His session entitled, “Architecture for Enabling Business-Driven Networks,” is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2003.

In this presentation, he will discuss DEN-ng, a standards-based solution that defines and synchronizes the relationships between business, applications and network capabilities. The result is an architecture that will self-configure, self-heal and self-protect an organization’s network and its revenue, while providing a foundation for on-demand computing.

“John’s work on DEN and DEN-ng demonstrates the continuing commitment that he and Intelliden have to addressing the network infrastructure issues facing today’s service providers, enterprises and government organizations,” states Intelliden President and CEO Dale Hecht. “We’re pleased to contribute to the body of knowledge and discussion surrounding technology advancements in network management.”

An IBM Advanced Business Partner, Intelliden uses IBM technology around its device management software suite that enables service providers, enterprises and government organizations to reliably and profitably configure and control today's business-driven data networks.
