Intelliden to Present Business-Driven Device Management At Leading International Symposium

--Intelliden Chief Strategy Officer John Strassner Shares New Approach Toward Network Management With SSGRR 2002 Participants--

L'AQUILA, Italy, Aug. 2, 2002 - Intelliden Corporation, a leading provider of business-driven device management software, today will present the concept of business-driven device management to Scuola Superiore G. Reiss Romoli (SSGRR) 2002 participants.

Intelliden Chief Strategy Office John Strassner, who was invited to speak at the weeklong international symposium on infrastructure for e-business, e-education, e-science and e-medicine by SSGRR’s committee of networking experts, will make his presentation at 11 a.m. local time.

“Leveraging business rules and processes to drive and manage the configuration of the network is an extremely tough proposition for today’s service providers and enterprises,” Strassner said. “With the continued growth in traffic, today’s network architectures have become increasingly complex and face daunting integration challenges. Business-driven device management helps solve these issues by using business rules to manage the creation and deployment of network configurations, transforming the network from a cost center to a profit center.”

Strassner’s presentation will focus on how business-driven device management enables business processes and rules to configure and manage the network. Strassner will also discuss how a common representation of data can translate business rules into device configuration, and how business procedures can be used to drive the process of network configuration.

Strassner, a former Cisco Systems fellow, is the inventor of Directory Enabled Networks (DEN) and frequently speaks at industry conferences worldwide.
