Intelliden Attracts Top Industry Talent
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - January 31, 2006 - Intelliden Inc, the leading provider of standards based network automation solutions, today announced the management appointments of several senior executives. The appointment of four key industry veterans brings a wealth of talents and deep sector expertise to complement Intelliden's worldwide customer support, professional services, engineering and marketing functions.
Today's appointments include:
Nick Abbott, Vice President, Customer Advocacy & Support
In his new role, Nick is responsible for customer advocacy and support. Nick will ensure customer success in achieving key business goals, with their use of Intelliden's network automation solutions. An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Nick built and led the customer support organization at Openwave for eight years, from early startup to a billion dollar publicly traded company, which was ranked as 'best of class' by Openwave's customer base. Previously he held key executive and engineering positions at Peerlogic, Hitachi, Lockheed Missiles & Space and Unisys.
Colin Balmforth, Vice President, Worldwide Professional Services
Colin manages Intelliden's global professional services organization, which includes a team of trained worldwide consultants responsible for helping customers maximize their return from Intelliden products. Colin has over 20 years of international experience in a variety of professional services and customer support positions. Most recently, he co-founded Conexus Partners a consultancy services serving Oracle and JD Edwards customers. Prior to that, he managed the worldwide professional services and customer support operations at JD Edwards.
Alan McKee, Vice President, Engineering
Alan is driving the engineering efforts for Intelliden's award winning software products. He is responsible for the development of high quality products and solutions across Intelliden's global development centers. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Alan brings tremendous engineering and software development leadership to Intelliden. Prior to joining Intelliden, Alan served as the Director of Software Development at Nortel Networks, where he was responsible for managing the development of next generation service management solutions. Previously he worked at British Telecommunications PLC, where he was responsible for network management software development at the Belfast Engineering Centre, Northern Ireland.
Rahul Sachdev, Vice President, Marketing
Rahul is responsible for ensuring that Intelliden maintains and extends its leadership in network automation solutions. He also provides strategic direction and ensures solid execution of Intelliden's marketing operations including product marketing, marketing communications, analyst and press relations. Rahul brings over 15 years of international experience in technology marketing, product management and software development. Prior to joining Intelliden, Rahul was the General Manager of the communications, media and energy industry vertical at Siebel Systems, Inc. His leadership helped to create the largest industry vertical at Siebel with over 400 worldwide customers. Previously Rahul also held key positions at Accenture and Nynex Corporation. "Over the past few months, we have successfully augmented our leadership team with experienced software industry executives," said Alan Black, President and CEO of Intelliden.
