Intelliden Corporation Announces Early Shipment of Its 2.0 Device Management Software Suite
--More Devices, Advanced Security and Dynamic Network Control All in One Platform--
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Oct. 16, 2002 - Intelliden Corporation, a leading provider of business-driven device management software, today announced the shipment of the Intelliden R-Series™ 2.0 software suite more than a month earlier than planned based on positive customer demand and analyst feedback.
“Customer demand and analyst feedback have been so tremendously positive that we decided to ship the Intelliden R-Series 2.0 software suite more than a month early,” said Dale Hecht, president and CEO of Intelliden Corporation. “We’re extremely excited about our latest release. It is the foundation for automated network control, advanced security and device management. From day one, customers will manage their network more reliably and efficiently, lower their network costs and increase their network security.”
The Intelliden R-Series is the industry’s first business-driven device management platform that enables service providers, enterprises and federal agencies to control their networks more efficiently, more profitably and more securely. The Intelliden R-Series 2.0 software suite dynamically manages heterogeneous IP networks via a single Web-based interface and extensible API.
“There’s been enough word-of-mouth demand for customer demos, strategic partnerships and lab trials that we moved up the ship date of our product, and our 2.0 platform is generally available today,” said Kevin Burns, chief marketing officer of Intelliden Corporation. “We will be formally announcing the Intelliden R-Series 2.0 software suite over the next few months. The bottom line is that lower network costs, increased network reliability and less than a six-month payback are getting a lot of service providers and enterprises very interested. More later.”
With the 2.0 release, organizations will now be able to effectively create and execute mass changes to their network with full versioning, reporting and auditing. This capability, called Command Sets™, allows simultaneous network changes to occur reliably and automatically, while dramatically reducing costs, errors and time-consuming tasks. The Intelliden R-Series 2.0 also provides advanced security for critical network assets through granular control of network devices. In addition, the Intelliden R-Series 2.0 automates the management of a broader list of devices, including routers, LAN/WAN switches, firewalls and optical switches, providing advanced management for IP networks via a single interface.
