Intelliden Corporation Ranks Among Red Herrings Most Intriguing Recent VC Fundings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 1, 2002 - Intelliden Corporation, a leading provider of business-driven device management solutions, has been dubbed one of the most intriguing recent VC fundings by Red Herring magazine, as reported in its May 2002 issue.

“Intelliden is pleased with Red Herring’s recognition of our company’s strategic direction,” said Dale Hecht, Intelliden president and CEO. “Now more than ever, service providers and enterprises need to reduce their operational expenses, improve their network optimization and strengthen their margins. Intelliden solutions automate today’s error-prone, manual device configuration process and enable a company’s business rules to drive the management and configuration of its network devices. In today’s economic climate, Intelliden has a very compelling value proposition.”

In February 2002, Intelliden announced its public entry into the element management software space, unveiling a high-caliber management team, powerful investors and patent-pending software. Intelliden launched the industry's first element management software suite that is designed to help companies address the network infrastructure crisis stemming from the daily manual configuration of millions of network devices one at a time.

Several industry veterans serve on the Intelliden leadership team, including board members Gerald H. Taylor, former chief executive officer of MCI Communications, and Steven Haley, former founding executive officer of Juniper Networks. Chief Strategy Officer John Strassner is a former Cisco Fellow and inventor of Directory Enabled Networks (DEN). John Gerdelman, former president of MCI’s award-winning global network and IT divisions, is chairman. President and CEO Dale Hecht formerly served as vice president of enterprise data and management systems at WorldCom.

Intelliden investors include Matrix Partners, 3i and mortonsgroup LLC.
