Intelliden Selected As One of Network World's "Start-Ups to Watch"
--Company’s Mix of Technology Innovation, Market Strategy, Management Experience and Financial Backing Rank It Among the Networking Stars of Tomorrow--
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 30, 2002 - Intelliden Corporation, a leading provider of business-driven device management solutions, has been selected by Network World as one of the magazine’s “10 Start-Ups to Watch” in 2002. Network World editors selected Intelliden based on its mix of technology innovation, market strategy, management experience and financial backing.
“We’re greatly honored that Network World ranked Intelliden among the top Ten Start-Ups to Watch in 2002,” said Dale Hecht, Intelliden president and CEO. “Our patent-pending software enables service providers and enterprises to reduce their network costs and increase their operational efficiency. Receiving this prestigious award from Network World further validates our strong market opportunity and our results-oriented business strategy.”
Intelliden made its public entry into the element management software space on Feb. 25, unveiling a high-caliber management team, powerful investors and patent-pending software. The company recently closed its second up-round of financing. The Intelliden R-Series™ software suite is the industry’s first element management software suite that is designed to help companies address the network infrastructure crisis stemming from the daily manual configuration of millions of network devices one at a time.
“Service providers and enterprises today are under growing pressure to increase operational efficiencies and improve network optimization. To achieve these objectives, they must eliminate manual processes such as device configuration that are error prone, time consuming and riddled with misinformation,” said Sanjay Mewada, research director with the Yankee Group. “As the network scales and becomes more heterogeneous, service providers and enterprises are seeking configuration management solutions that will optimize workflow, provide flexible policy management, authenticate and track changes, and deliver true optimization of human as well as network assets. Intelliden is well-positioned to address these needs.”
A profile of Intelliden appears in the annual Network World 200 issue, which hits newsstands this week. The Network World 200 issue is part of Network World's Signature Series, which comprises six special issues covering the most important trends, companies, technologies, challenges and opportunities in networking.
