Intelliden Upgrades Discovery and Reconciliation Application to Provide MTOSI 2.0 Support
Support for TM Forum’s latest and most comprehensive standard will reduce OSS integration complexity and costs, and improve network ROI
Nice, France – May 6, 2009 - Intelliden Inc., a leading provider of Intelligent Networking solutions that enable organizations to control, manage and scale their networks, today announced the release of the newest version of its pioneering and award-winning Discovery and Reconciliation (D&R) 2.0 application. Intelliden D&R 2.0 has achieved another milestone as the industry’s first discovery and reconciliation application to provide support for TM Forum’s latest and most comprehensive Multi-Technology Operations System Interface (MTOSI) 2.0 standard. It enables third party OSS applications such as inventory, service fulfilment and fault management to get access to real-time network resource information using industry standard interfaces, and greatly reduces costs and complexity of systems integration.
D&R 2.0 acts as the 'trusted source of network truth' so that OSS applications no longer have to maintain parallel and proprietary interfaces to thousands of devices with multiple vendors, types, models and operating systems. Nor is there a need any longer for OSS applications to track the millions of changes in a dynamic converged network. Intelliden D&R provides real-time and continuous reconciliation of physical and logical network resources. Developed in close collaboration with leading service providers, Intelliden D&R greatly reduces network “inventory drift” – the increasing discrepancy between actually provisioned and the presumed state of the network – and associated data integrity problems such as stranded assets.
“Service providers are already saving millions of dollars each year by using TM Forum’s MTOSI standard to specify the interfaces between their technologies and third-party technologies,” said Martin Creaner, President and COO of TM Forum. “Intelliden’s support for MTOSI Release 2.0 underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to industry standards, and to helping its customers to reduce the complexity and costs of connecting multiple OSS applications to multi-vendor networks.”
Key features of Intelliden D&R 2.0 include:
“Intelliden was founded on the core belief that any solution for conquering network complexity must begin with the real-time state of the network and must be based on industry standards,” said Alan Black, President and CEO of Intelliden. “By incorporating support for TM Forum’s latest MTOSI 2.0 standard and collaborating with our leading customers, we are helping them to significantly reduce the complexity of managing network resources and services, and extract greater ROI from their network investments.”
Intelliden's D&R application recently received the First Annual NGN Leadership Award presented by NGN magazine (http://www.intelliden.com/press_releases-286.html).
